Learn how EU helps the European Data Market to thrive! Join the webinar on 22nd September on the role of Big Data Value PPP in the context of European Data Market.
We are excited to invite you to the next webinar on the role of Big Data Value PPP in the context of European Data Market.
The European Big Data Value PPP is a partnership between the European Commission and the Big Data Value Association (BDVA - http://www.bdva.eu/ ) , the association of the European Big Data community (Corporates, SMEs and Research) which includes data providers, data users, data analysts and data researchers. It has been set up in October 2014 in order to cooperate in data-related research and innovation, enhance community building around data and to set the grounds for a thriving data-driven economy in Europe.
The PPP will help focus investment and work on datasets that are strategic for European industry and where Europe can take a business or technological lead - ranging from manufacturing to agriculture. Investments are expected to reach around €2.5 billion with a budget of around €500 million assigned in Horizon 2020. Each euro of that EU investment is expected to trigger €4 of private sector investment (around €2 billion).
In the context of the EU Data Market study, the BDVA Secretary General Stuart Campbell will present the current status of Big Data Value PPP, the next steps, and how you can be involved.
An open question and answer session is foreseen.
IDC will provide a general introduction on the study and Europe´s data market size, growth and its ecosystem.
