Next webinar is on! Farmers meet Big Data: How data-driven technologies can serve a traditional sector like agriculture? 27th April at 15:00 CEST
Several definitions of precision agriculture are in use today: they generally refer to an all-encompassing farm management approach employing a broad range of technologies to provide data-based decision support, backed-up by real-time data from the field.
During the webinar, Lucia Confalonieri from Salt & Lemon will discuss how precision agriculture is becoming a viable business opportunity for different technology providers, including established technology companies as well as agri-tech startups.
We will also discuss the extent to which some companies are turning to precision agriculture to consider new marketplaces and to expand their offering. We will also explore how agri-tech startups are able to expand thanks to private and public funding, thus acting as a powerful innovation factor in a sector with traditionally low levels of IT penetration.
